Thumbs Up  Who's a happy bunny then?

After all of the heart searching about whether to repair the Ford wheels I bit the bullet and ordered new wheels from Rochford.

They are Team Dynamic Equinox and now they are fitted they really do look the doggy's.

I can't say that Rochford are the best firm that I've dealt with as I had four separate delivery dates and eventually got them a weeek after they were first promised, and they forgot the chrome valve covers.

They should not be too easy to scuff as the Michelins have a protective bead that sticks out about 5mm beyond the chrome rim and the alloy part of the wheel is about a centimeter further back still.

What do you think?  Aren't they great?

The Galaxy looks great with those new alloys , very smart ....congrats Malcolm

You arent the only one who has had a problem with Rochford . I purchased some 19" Toyo tyres from them and they refused my Visa card for payment , and it took 4 days to get it sorted .
Called them  last week and they refused to sell me some 20" alloys because they said you cant fit 20s on  a Galaxy so they largest they could supply were 19s.....muppets.

Scratch Chin       That was part of my hold up too.  Rochford said my card was refused authorisation on the 4th April and not cleared by the card company until the 8th.  When I called the card company they said that they had never refused to authorise and that they were only contacted on the 8th.  I think Rochford were just playing for time as they hadn't been able to get the wheels as soon as they hoped.

If they'd been honest and said it would take a week longer than hoped I would have understood perfectly.  After all I'd been long enough making up my mind.  I hate being lied to.   AARRGGHH

Looking great Malcolm  Grin, have you noticed a difference in the ride quality as i know you were worried about it?

I must admit to having a few issues with Rochford when i got mine. the first set i ordered they didnt have (rung me up the day delivery was due) the as you had Malcolm didnt put the chrome sleeves on.  Sad

It is disappointing but, lifes too short to get stressed about stuff like that.  Wink

Hi Alex

The ride seems fine so far.  Acouple of minor potholes posed no problems and the ride seems very stable.  So far so good.

Good stuff Malcolm.  Grin

How are your power chairs offroad? just asking as FITP is held on a field, dont want you getting stuck if the ground is boggy. lol

Thanks for asking.  Generally not too bad if the ground is even.  Both of us can still walk with sticks so if it's not too far we'll be OK.  If we do get stuck I'm sure that there will be plenty of able bodies to rescue us.

Hope it won't be muddy though.  Don't want to get the new wheels messed up.  Cry Laugh

:lmao; yeah know what you mean, some of us spend quite a while preping the cars before a meet (not compulsory though) and when you get there after a long drive the car is filthy. lol Grin

Looking good Malky  Thumbs Up

I had no problems with the delivery from Rochford but they did forget to fit the flush fit valves they charged me for! They sent me some chrome sleeves but I still feel now I never quite got my moneys worth! On my initial enquiry they tried to charge me an extra £80 for a XL tyre upgrade, but if you read their small print they normally supply the Nexen N3000 XL tyre from stock in a package deal so I told them the tyre must be XL rated if they were going to supply something diffrent.

Enough moaning! Enjoy the wheels, oh and mind those kerbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Grin
