1991 July 15	Ford and Volkswagen form AutoEuropa, joint venture to produce new multipurpose vehicles at Setubal, Portugal.
1995 March 9	Ford Galaxy debuts at Geneva Motor Show.
1995 April 26	AutoEuropa (Ford-Volkswagen joint venture) starts building Ford Galaxy and VW Sharan at new Palmela (Portugal) plant.
1995 June	Mk1 Galaxy on sale in Europe. Prices from £17,932 - £29,478. Initial models: Aspen 5 & 7 seat, GLX 7 Seat, Ghia 6 Seat.
1999 March	LX & Zetec replace Aspen and GLX models. Si, Ghia X, Ultima & 4x4 models added to range.
2000 March 2	Mk2 Galaxy unveiled to the public and press at Geneva Motor Show.
2000 August 1	Mk2 Galaxy on sale in UK. Available in LX, Zetec and Ghia trim with 8 options packs available. Prices £18,495 - £25,495.00
2004	Mk2 Galaxy has interior and exterior cosmetic facelift.
2005 Feb 9	New 150PS, 1.9 TDi engine available in both Zetec and Ghia models from £23,155 and £24,655 respectively.
2006 Feb 20	Ford's Genk Assembly Plant in Belgium begins production of all-Ford designed and developed Mk3 Galaxy.
2006 March 1	Mk3 Galaxy previews at Geneva Motor Show.
2006 June 1	Mk3 Galaxy on sale in the UK in LX, Zetec, Ghia & GhiaX variants with choice of 2.0 petrol and 1.8 & 2.0 TDCi engines.
