as some of you aware ive been working with a guy called steve@ lockwood dials
to get some white dial kits made up for the galaxy range..

this is gonna be a first not only for the galaxy but for the fgoc..

since the galaxys launch way back in 1995 people have been trying to get white dial kits for the galaxy, but with no luck..

well guys and girls thats about to change
we are starting off by having mk2 1,9tdi dials kits made, which will cover both manual and auto
all mk2 tdi clocks more or less the same.

once they have taking off the mk2 2.3+2.8 clocks kits will come out, again both the same kit

then we will be getting dials kits for the m1,s

which will cover 2.0/2.3 and 2.8 again all the same dial kit

@ this time theree are no plans on the mk1 td and tdi dials kits but this good very well change

my clocks go off on monday to have the first set made up..

i may be wrong.but it looks like the first every white dial kit for a galaxy.. Yahoo!

so watch this space for the pics.

as it will be a fgoc first and a galaxy first

laters guys and girls james

Just in time for xmas LOL..........
(mend the spoiler or buy the dial kit?)

Steve,
Simple, do both.  Fix the spoiler then buy the white dial kit as a Christmas present to yourself !!!
Or persuade the Lady in your life to buy it for you for Christmas Grin

MK1 Dial kits have now been updated in the online shop (www.fgoc.co.uk/shop_index.htm) When ordering, please select whether you need the kit with 1 LCD Display cutout, or 2 LCD Display cutouts and also select the illumiation colour you require so we know exactly which one to send out Smiley

These are for the 2.0/2.3/2.8 range of cars -  1.9 models will be catered for soon Smiley

Looking good Steve,  2thumbsup
If it is still to bright with the lens tape try red insulation tape, I used blue for mine and I found it diffused the glare from the bulb.  Wink

Look mighty fine, are they fairly easy to do for a completely non technical person like me?

It depends on what you want to do,
If it's just a straight dial swap it's pretty easy to do. On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 easy 5 Hard) I would say 2.
If you want to change the colour of the LCD clocks it's a bit harder properley a 4 on the scale as it involves soldering.

But for a straight swap....
-Just remove the clocks dash surround, pull the clocks forward and out of the dash, unplug two connectors.
-Remove the white plastic backing about 6 or 8 small torx screws.
-Seperate the two halves gently to expose the needles.
-Gently pull of the needles.
-Peel off old dials clean the clear plastic backing.
-Stick on the white dials.
-Replace needles gently.
-stick it all back together again.

If you don't feel confidant of doing it and you want just a straight dial conversion without changing he colour of the LCD's buy the white dials bring them to the birthday bash and I'll do it for you it will only take approx 30 mins.   Wink
