Ones like these will be very difficult to fit while still complying with legal lighting laws. James has been looking into fitting these onto the MK2 lighting unit. The difference is that the MK2 has separate light units for the side lights and headlights that this kit will simply fit around. The MK1 light unit is a reflector unit with the head and side light bulbs in 1 reflecting surround. There is nowhere that you can really secure these kits to, except for the lens glass. Problem here is that securing the angel eyes here will affect the beam direction and therefore probably leave you with illegal headlights that will fail any future MOT test.

Only ones I've seen (and will be fitting when money is good and my job is confirmed as secure) are from here:

Galaxy Angel Eyes

They look similar to these Sharan versions.

But at £260 a pair - it's slightly more than the kit on the link you put!!

Unfortunately, these Galaxy Angel Eye conversion units have been discontinued and are no longer available from the only company that I know of that made them, FK  :'(

So .... I'm therefore after further ideas on how to angel eye my Gal. One option I;ve had would be to try and convert the front fog lights somehow. I know there are aftermarket driving lights with angel eye rings that might fit the bill. Has anyone seen these in the dark? do they look decent or crap like I'd expect for £30 Dunno!

The other way I have thought is to utilise the very inner edge of the OEM light units where there seems to be a section of silver blanking plate that isn't used as a light reflector for the main beam.

[ IMAGE NOT SHOWN - GUESTS CANNOT VIEW ATTACHED IMAGES ]

In here I might be able to fit one of the small angel eye ring kits (like James had a go with his spare MK2 light unit)

Any other ideas?
