Right then here goes,
The lighting mods have started at last in "awty?"
I picked up a pair of ovals when i brought my roof rails,
and was kinda hoping that all the wiring would be in the footwells...
Got them to pieces this afternoon and alas no blooming wires lol........
Anyone able to tell me what colour wires i need to spur off to get an
open door feed and an earth??

According to the Haynes book, the wire colours you would be looking for are red/black & brown/yellow for the footwell thats that are fitted as standard. Do you have a glovebox light you can spur off? this cable is red/black (live) and brown (earth) which in turn are linked to the central roof lights. According to the wiring diagram they are all linked together from the accessory/delayed light interior light relays, fuse 53.
Just to add, sometimes the wiring plugs are there, but just taped right back up with the main loom.

Your misunderstanding what I'm suggesting, the glove box light is fed from the same cable that feeds the roof interior lights but has a lever operated latch on the glovebox lid, so when the lid is shut the light is off, (have you never checked your fridge light to see if it goes off when the door is closed? Grin ) the roof lights operate from the door switch and go through the time delay system, as does the glove box light and anything else that you connect to it.  Smiley

Am I missing something about the fridge?  Roll Eyes

According to the wiring diagram in the book, all the footwell lights, door entry/marker lights, boot loading lights, glovebox light, interior roof lights are all fed from the same wire, and all operate of the doors, connecting anything else to that circuit will do the same.

I think I can clear this one up (not the fridge thing though!).

The interior lights and glovebox light are all supplied with the same live feed (red/black wire).

They are all then given different earths. The glovebox lid has a permanent earth, because I believe the lamp has the switch built in to it. The interior lamps are supplied a switched earth from the Multifunction unit (brown/yellow).

The brown/yellow wire is connected to connector P4 at pin 2.

The red/black wire is at connector P3 at pin 4.

If you want your footwell lights to work with your interior lights, you should take your feeds from these wires. Obviously double check what I have told you but, it should be right.

Does this help m8??

the front wheel arch and spliced into them there...ran these to the drivers side,
then spliced into them for pass side.....got plain bulbs in at the mo as they were in
them lol.......amazing the difference!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah found these as well
