I think the picture of the girl on the left and the chap on the right would probably make for a good caption competition Grin

hi had been sorting out my earthing issue on my sub today and theres is no joy at all. i even run a cable to the battery (earth) but i still get those unwanted interference.also called my mate mate who has the same sub as mine and swapped both subs, but still no joy.whenever i use the wipers and signal lights i hear the interference.also i noticed that when i put the volume to 0 i can hear a light thumping noise.if its a earthing issue. any recommendation where is the best place to put it?? my wife recommends; not to use it!! from the amp make the lead as short as poss, when you mount it to the body, clean away any paint on the metal,as this will cause bad feedback noise...

on my h/u i was getting back noise also.so i added a extra earth to the side of the h/u.and noise went.worth a try

On my sub I have the earth connected to the earth point inside the rear drivers side cubbyhole. My sub is in the boot on the drivers side so cable is nice and short.

How have you routed the cables to the head unit and permanent/switchable live? If the cables for these come close to the wiring for the wipers/indicators they may pick up some interference from them

could be a earth point to the head unit giving problems, try the id i gave you,see how you get on
this will only happen with a big power draw ie amp and sub.

let us know how you get on
