The offer is available on line Alex, and you can reserve for store pickup now too Wink

I've been using the 3 step for the last year or so and can't see me changing to anything else. The shine and lustre of my paintwork is far better now than when I bought the car. Yes it's hard work, but the results are well worth it. I then top up in between with Speed Detailer which keeps her sparkling.

I might try the Quick Clay before FITP to prep the paintwork even more before doing the 3 step to see what difference I get. Top products from Meguiars!

Shop WILL be updated this weekend Wink

Speed detailer is a case of spray, wipe on, wipe off, buff, put your shades on and enjoy the shine!

Daz did a good review of their next generation tech wax and looking at the shine he had at the BB I'll be using some of that too!!

Cheers Paul. Thumbs Up

What cloths, chamoise type things to you use to do each process?

I was looking to buy the Meguirs cloths (terry towel, micro fibre cloths and drying cloth) but are quite expensive.

For drying I use a standard chamois leather.

I bought a couple of rolls of THIS and cut it up into individual cloths. Lasts for ages and they are washable after use. They are good for applying and removing the 3 step and other polishing products, but not for the final polish.

For the final polish bought some nice big microfibe cloths Like These on ebay which as you can see don't need to cost the earth!

I've just tried adding 3 items to a basket that should be in the 3 for 2 offer and it is calculating the full price online too Dunno!

You don't pay for them until you pick them up from the store anyway, so you could argue the toss for the 3 for 2 when you get in store (as it is advertised on the website!) Knowing the average IQ of a Halfords employee is almost 1 then you should be able to wangle it!

Just had a quick look at Halfords web site because this is a bit of a gray area under trading standards

Halfords have very craftily put a get out clause in there on line site, this is an extract from there t & C

The prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the Halfords On line store. On occasions, the prices payable and promotions offered on line may differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time in Halfords stores. We are under no obligation to honour any in-store price or promotion that differs from those on line. Similarly, Halfords stores are under no obligation to honour any on line price or promotion that differs from the in-store price.

Where the In-store Price is listed, this refers to the current price in Halfords stores.

Special Offers and promotions advertised in the press or other media may be excluded unless specifically advertised as available on line.

All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last.

All prices are shown in £ sterling and include V.A.T. where appropriate. We regret we are not able to offer VAT exclusive pricing for deliveries to the Channel Islands.

If an administrative error has resulted in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct that price and notify you accordingly. In these circumstances, it will be deemed that a contract has not been entered into and you will not be bound to continue with your purchase. You will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed at the correct price, however, should you choose not to do so, your monies will be refunded to your credit/debit card in full. The repayment of such monies paid to us will be the extent of our liability to you in the event of pricing errors.

But there is a bit of ammo in there to fire back at them reread the underlined bit.

If I read this right if the price in store does not match the online price or the online offer is not available in store then you pay the shop price and there is no offer.

BUT reading the underlined bit they say that online offers can be available in store regardless if there is an offer in store or not as it advertised on line

Does this make sense  Huh? Huh?

Order it on line for collection copy the page with the offer on it and go give the sales assistant hell.

When you've finally got your 3 step (is this a dance or polish? Cheesy) Alex, get yourself some microfibre polishing cloths. I use nothing else now. You can also use 100% cotton terry nappies.........guess what Charlotte has donated to me? Wink Grin
