After having a good read on the net and a good chat to James (the 2 day valet man LMAO) I reckon I'll be going for the following ...

Meguiars Deep Crystal 3 step cleaning system but will be buying from Halfords as they currently have a 3 for 2 offer on car care products!

I'll then be keeping with Maguiars and trying their Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner to try and get the alloys up to scratch.

Plenty of good reviews around for all these so will give them a go and report back!

Paul, I don't mean to keep throwing spanners in your works but, check this out.

I was gonna try the winner - Turtle Wax Platinum Extra Gloss.

If you do go ahead with your purchase, we could compare products.

i think it'd be good to have a range tested by each of us - like you say we can compare at FITP and do our own write ups!

TBH I had a trial subscription to Auto Express which I cancelled this week so I saw this article in the mag. I cancelled the subscription because they classed the Kia Sedona as the best used full size people carrier with no mention of the Galaxy!!! Kia F**cking Sedona I ask you!!!! I therefore drew the conclusion that they didn't know their arses from their elbows and ignored the results of their polish test LMAO LMAO

I think because mine needs quite a bit of work to get it up to a standard I'd be happy with then I'll need all 3 of the Meguiars products. As they are designed to work with each other, then hopefully I'll be happy with the results!

hey paul, i have bought all the paint cleaner/polish/wax products you mention, but have not tried them yet - apart from the wax which was very good.

my drivers door is rusting up, so need to fix that, then im gonna give it a real good going over...a whole weekend! (not got time yet tho - hence why i havnt used it!)

Ok you shamed me into it, i have just spent 4 hours cleaning the car. (I know James you would have only done the front bumper in this time. lmao)

It's now washed, polished with T- cut colour, black trim is black again, alloys cleaned using foam stuff, tyres nice and shiny, again with foam stuff and windows polished inside and out.

I still need to get some tar remover, a touch up kit for various scratches (that the T-cut couldnt touch).

Scrub the carpets and rubber mats and clean the leather seats and dash etc.

I've told the other half she is not allowed to use the car until after the 13th May. lol

Looks very shiny, but to dark to take pictures.

Now i,m off to bed cause i'm knackered. lol

Steve your's looks clean enough to me judging by the pics of your wheels, maybe my standards are to low, i will just park mine at the back at FITP, and let James and Daz's workmate loose on it. lol

Weren't the early ones called Granadas and the top of the range Scorpio? That long since I've worked on one.
