The secret is now out.

We needed something to replace poor Niggles after she passed to the scrapyard in the sky and came up with a camper last November. We knew that some would have been interested n our new buy but wanted to keep it hushed up until the first meet of the year. As a result a few thought I had got another Galaxy and others were ignored (and I am really sorry for that but I couldn't think of what to say).

However what we got is a 1996 Autosleeper built on a Mk5 (Smiley) Transit chassis. It is a 2.5DI automatic transmission and REALLY comfortable to drive (and sleep in  Grin). It does have it's problems (and rust) as any 21 yr old will but they are manageable problems.
King size bed when all folded out or 2 singles if we fall out with each other  LMAO LMAO LMAO
2 ring hob, grill, oven, sink, fridge, cab heater, full wet room and loads of storage. On top of that we can take 2 rear passengers as there are 2 extra seat belts in the back.

Reason for this, wifes new car (new to her) came with only one key. A spare key from Kia over £200. These 3 button key blanks can be got for just a few quid. Obviously they need cut and programmed. These days, it ain't rocket science if you can get the right software etc.
My last Galaxy, the keys could be programmed from the vehicle with a few twists and turns.
One day, years ago, my good lady managed to lock her keys in her then car ( Seat Ibiza) it took a while but I managed to retrieve the key fob from the ignition and open the car.
I have asked around where I live and there seems to be a need for someone to make duplicate keys. So, being semi retired, I've decided to look into the process.
The necessary wizzardry ordered from cyberspace and we will see how it pans out. Nothing ventured, nothing gained eh?  Roll Eyes

Hi, does anyone know of any software for laptop which will code car keys. There seem to be several OBD2 type units available at a wide range of prices, has anyone used one of these devices?
Any other options please.

As some of you will know on the 20th May 2018 there will be some new rules applied for MOT testers and the testing of vehicles. This may well impact some of the cars out there that have passed MOT's many years UP UNTIL NOW!
If your car is due an MOT or may be if you feel some of the new rules may leave you without a car it might be worth presenting your car for an MOT a little earlier than usual
Just be aware.Be prepared, use your initiative  Wink
